New Delhi: Delhi, where polling for the 70-member Delhi Assembly got underway, has seen 27.48 percent polling since 2 pm, the election commission’s voter turnout app said.
1.47 crore people will decide the fate of 672 candidates.
The Voter percentage remain dismal across the National Capital even as half of the voting hours have already been spent. A few exceptions were North East Delhi and Shahdara districts. In fact, turnout in the poshest, and perhaps the most keenly watched New Delhi area remained dismal.
Elections are currently underway in 70-membered Delhi Assembly to elect a new government. The current term of the government is set to end on 22 February.
