Dense Fog in Odisha: Police, Transport Officials Urged to Take Steps for Controlled Plying of Vehicles on Highways

Bhubaneswar: With the IMD predicting dense fog in several districts over the next three days, the Odisha Government has urged the police and transport officials to take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accident.

As per the weather bulletin issued by the met department on Thursday, dense fog is very likely to occur during morning hours in the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Puri, Kendrapara, Nayagarh, Bhadrak and Kandhamal in the next three days, the Special Relief Commissioner mentioned in a letter to the Collectors and SPs.

“Police and transport officials of respective districts may take necessary steps for controlled plying of vehicles on highways during dense fog to avoid any road accident”, the SRC said.
