Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik on Monday campaigned for his party candidate Abanti Das for the ensuing by-election to the Dhamnagar Assembly seat in Bhadrak district.
Addressing the massive public rallies through virtual mode, the BJD supremo said that Dhamnagar is the land of peace and harmony, and the land of brotherhood. This is the biggest identity of Dhamnagar.
The Biju Janata Dal is always with the people and working for the welfare of the people, he said.
“With your support and cooperation, Odisha has gained a reputation across the country the country in the field of development”, the BJD supremo said.
Naveen further said that he will personally take care of the development of Dhamnagar constituency.
The benefits of all the schemes – be it Kalia Yojana or Mission Shakti or Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana – have reached to the people of Dhamnagar. The women are empowered. Mission Shakti is their new identity, Naveen said.
Garnering support for BJD candidate Abanti Das, Naveen said, “I want to see a woman to become your MLA. You too want… Women are performing all their responsibilities beautifully”.
Naveen also expressed his gratitude to the people of Dhamnagar for reposing their faith on the BJD in the recently concluded Panchayat and urban elections.
Addressing the people, Naveen said, “You have given BJD a chance to serve in all six Zilla Parishad seats in the constituency. Similarly, you have given nine out of 11 wards including chairmanship and vice-chairmanship of Dhamnagar NAC to the BJD”.
