Puri: Lt Gen Rajeev Chopra, AVSM, Director General, National Cadet Corps (DGNCC) today visited 6 Odisha Bn NCC, Puri.
During the visit, the DGNCC met the Officers, Staff, and Cadets, asked their wellbeing and about NCC training being carried out.
He encouraged the cadets for career enhancement and appreciated their valuable contribution towards nation building.
He expressed satisfaction over the overall development of NCC infrastructure in Puri and Odisha region.
He also lauded the efforts of the Battalion PI staff, ANOs and Cadets in providing timely relief and help to the distressed and badly affected population of Puri district during cyclone Fani.
During his visit to Puri the DG NCC was accompanied by the Deputy Director General, NCC Directorate Odisha, Commodore Shailendra Singh, NM Group Capt R V Shinde, Group Commander NCC Group HQs, Berhampur, Lt Col Abhay Singh, SM, Commanding Officer, 6 Othsha Bn NCC, Puri and Lt Col GB MK Rao of Berhampur Group.
