Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP Abhay today reviewed the security arrangements for the ensuing winter session of the Odisha Assembly. He, along with Commissioner of Police Saumendra Priyadarshi and other senior officials discussed various issues. Elaborate security arrangements involving three-tier security system has been put in place for the Assembly premises. The winter sesson of the assembly will commence from tomorrow. Also, prohibitory orders have been imposed on all the connecting roads to the assembly. The police has set up five control rooms in and around the Assembly with CCTV surveillance, quick action teams and reserve forces.
Keeping in view the arrangements, vehicular traffic is being realigned near the assembly under the supervision of DCP Traffic. Thirty platoons of police have been deployed to maintain order at the dharana place near Lower PMG. Six Additional SPs, 11 ACPs, 13 Inspectors, 62 Officers, 20 Traffic Personnel will also be deployed.
