Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police Sunil Kumar Bansal today took stock of Maoist scenario in Nuapada district.
The DGP along with Director Intelligence Sanjeeb Panda, ADG (L&O) Radha Kishan Sharma, IG (Operations) Amitabh Thakur, DIG (SIW) Anirudh Kumar Singh, DIG ( SWR) Pandit Rajesh Uttamrao and other senior officials visited the district to review the LWE scenario.
The DGP instructed to intensify anti- Maoists operations by security forces and setting up of more camps in order to plug the security vaccum of the area.
The DGP further visited Sunabeda and Patdhara camps and interacted with SOG and CRPF soldiers to boost their morale.
He made an appeal to Maoists to lay arms and contribute to the ongoing development process of the area in particular and the state in general.
