Keonjhar: The Keonjhar district administration has set up Dialysis Centre at CHC Barbil to provide Haemodialysis services to patients.
The Dialysis Centre will provide facility to the citizens residing in around Joda / Barbil who were earlier required to travel to either DHH Keonjhar or SCB Cuttack.
The building has been constructed at a cost of Rs 50.75 lakhs funded under DMF Keonjhar.
The Dialysis Centre is equipped with a total 5 Dialysis Machines installed by Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Odisha.
The Dialysis Centre is equipped with advanced technology machines and will be managed by a team of super specialist doctors, experienced staff nurses and trained technicians.
The Dialysis Centre will be run by H & FW Department on PPP mode .
The Dialysis Centre will provide Haemodialysis services for 6 days in a week ( Sunday closed ) .
It is envisioned that the centre will improve accessibility of health services for citizens , especially tribals residing in and around mining affected areas of Joda / Barbil . This will also ensure better health & wellbeing of the people suffering from Chronic & Acute Kidney diseases.
The Centre was inaugurated by Champua MLA Minakshi Mahanta in the presence of Barbil Municipality Chairman Laxman Mahanta, Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare and other officials .
