Berhampur: With senior citizens and physically challenged persons facing problems in visiting the vaccination centers, the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) today started the doorstep vaccination drive from them in the city.
The drive was formally launched by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange in the presence of BeMC Commissioner Dr. Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar and others.
The BeMC has arranged mobile vans to carry out door-to-door vaccination drive for the elderly people and differently-abled persons.
Each vehicle will reach out at least 100 persons in a day, according to the BeMC.
The senior citizens and physically challenged persons can contact the control room, set up by the BeMC, for the vaccination service.
Meanwhile, the senior citizens in the Silk City have expressed their gratitude to the BeMC for the initiative.
