New Delhi: The Election Commission of India has issued notification for election to 55 seats for Rajya Sabha. According to the notification, the elections will be held on March 26.
Among the 55 seats, there are four seats from Odisha that are falling vacant. The four Rajya Sabha seats to fall vacant from Odisha include that of Anubhav Mohanty, Ranjib Biswal, Narendra Swain and Sarojini Hembram.
While the notification would be issued on 6th March 2020, the last date for nominations is 13th March 2020.
The scrutiny of nominations will be held on 16th March and withdrawal of candidature is 18th March.
The polling will be held on 26th March 2020 from 9 am to 4 pm and the results will be declared the same day by 5 pm. All the election procedures are to be completed by 30th March 2020.
