Bhubaneswar: The East Coast Railways (ECoR) has cancelled the Puri–Jaynagar-Puri Express and diverted several other trains in view of safety-related modernization work.
18419/18450 Puri-Jayanagar-Puri Express from Puri on 19th & 26th March and from Jayanagar on 21st & 28th March will remain cancelled, the ECoR said in a statement.
Safety-related modernization work is underway at Kiul Station under Danapur Railway Division of East Central Railway jurisdiction. Following this, some of the ECoR bound trains and trains originating from ECoR jurisdiction will be diverted and cancelled, the statement said.
Diversion of Trains via Adra-Gomoh-Gaya-Patna:
A. 18449/18450 Puri-Patna-Puri Express from Puri on 23rd & 30th March and from Patna on 25th March & 1st April will run on diverted route via Adra-Gomoh-Gaya-Patna route bypassing Burnpur-Asansol-Chittaranjan-Jasidih-Kiul-Bakhtiyarpur route from both the directions.
B. 22643/22644 Ernakulam-Patna-Ernakulam Express from 17th to 31st March from Ernakulam and from 19th March to 2nd April from Patna will run via Rajabera- Gomoh-Gaya-Patna route bypassing Asansol-Chittaranjan-Jasidih-Kiul-Bakhtiyarpur route from both the directions.
Diversion of Trains via Barddhaman-Rampur Hat-Sahibganj:
12253/12254 Yesvantpur-Bhagalpur-Yesvantpur Express from 26th February to 2nd April will run via Barddhaman-Rampur Hat-Sahibganj route bypassing Asansol-Jasidih-Kiul-Jamalpur route from both the directions.
