Bhubaneswar: An inter-state co-ordination meeting between the Odisha Police and West Bengal Police was held for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the ensuing general elections 2024.
The virtual meeting was convened by Odisha DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi. The senior police officers of both the states have participated in the meeting.
It was discussed that the police forces of the two states would cooperate and work jointly for smooth and safe conduct of the upcoming general elections 2024.
Earlier, the Odisha DGP has held meeting with the DGPs of neighboring states to ensure cooperation for the ensuring simultaneous elections.
The meeting focused on check illegal transportation of narcotics, money and arms during the elections, according to reports.
