Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police (DGP) Arun Kumar Sarangi on Monday reviewed the law and order situation in Nuapada district.
The DGP visited Nuapada to take stock of the prevailing LWE scenario for violence free and smooth conduct of the upcoming general elections in the district.
Sarangi has chaired a review meeting with the senior police officials to discuss various measures and arrangements being made for maintaining law and order, and peaceful conduct of the elections.
The DGP urged the police officials to keep a sharp vigil on the Maoist movement in the border areas, as per reports.
