New Delhi: As the social media gets agog with the discussions about microblogging app Twitter charging blue tick users, Elon Musk has hinted that it is really coming. Replying to American author Stephen King, in a tweet, Musk has said that the move is necessary as it is the only way to not fully rely on advertisers and to defeat bots and trolls.
Replying to King, he also hinted that the fees could be $8 per month and not $20 as reported by many previously. Musk, who recently took over the social media giant, is at advanced stages of to revamp its verification system for the blue tick. A new verification system could be in place by 7th November 2022. According to an earlier report, the existing verified users will get 90 days to get the Twitter Blue subscription once the updates to the verification system are made.
