Bhubaneswar: As the schools in Odisha resumed physical classes for the students from today after the gap of almost two years, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik came forward to give morale boost to the students.
The Chief Minister said that he is very happy with the happiness of the children due to the reopening of the schools for them.
“Today is a historic day for all of us. The school bells rang after the two years. The children went to schools today. This has been possible by the blessings of Lord, your cooperation and sacrifice of COVID-19 warriors”, the CM said.
The opening of school is a good sign that the situation is returning to the normalcy, he added.
Addressing the students, the Chief Minister said, “You (children) have been inside the house for two years without playing with your friends. The decision to reopen the schools have made you happy. I am very happy with your happiness”.
Students are an integral part of a school. Without them, school is meaningless. With the presence of students, the atmosphere at school has been invigorated after two years, he said.
Assuring students not to panic, the Chief Minister said, “We are all with you, but you have to be careful and follow COVID-19 guidelines sincerely. Wear masks properly at school and outside. Wash your hands with soaps, the CM advised the students.
He also urged the parents to send their children to schools.
Naveen also addressed the teachers and said, “In our culture, we worship our teachers as god. Their blessings bring us success. You all know that, due to Covid, the maximum loss has been faced children and their education has been hampered. We all will compensate that loss. I have full faith on you. You can only make up the gap created in the teaching and learning due to Covid. The students are now in your hands and without students there is nothing in the school”.
“After many days, schools have reopened. I request the School managements to give special attention for the safety of the students. I request the parents and guardians to allow children to attend the schools. Make them wear masks properly and encourage them to observe Covid guidelines properly. The happiness of the family is from the happiness of the children. Your generation has faced the most difficult times of the mankind. This will give the ability and strength to face the future challenges. I strongly believe, your success will further take forward the mankind”, he said.
