Berhampur: In an exemplary humanitarian act, the parents of a deceased girl student from Berhampur have decided to donate vital organs of their daughter to save other previous lives.
Siddhi Samruddhi, a Class Xth student of De Paul School Berhampur, passed away at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar after battling with brain tumor.
Her parents Sapan Kumar Bindhani and Sunita Pradhan have decided to donate vital organs of their daughter.
The first kidney will be transplanted on Anamika Sahu of Kendrapara at SCB Medical College and Hospital, Cuttack and the second kidney will be transplanted on Santosh Gupta of Rourkela at Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar, as per family sources.
Siddhi was suffering from severe headache for the past few days. She was admitted to a private hospital where the doctors found a brain tumor in her after CT scan. She was put in ICU. She breathed her last this morning.
Meanwhile, a pall of gloom descended on De Paul School following the untimely demise of Siddhi Samruddhi.
“Heartfelt condolences to the family and sincere prayers. May God give strength and courage to endure this irreparable loss. The noble decision to donate her both kidneys to alleviate the sufferings of others is really noteworthy. She will continue to live through them. Praying to the Almighty to give her eternal rest”, said Fr. Saju Antony CM, Principal of De Paul School.
