Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has arrested second wife of fake doctor Ramesh Swain.
The Pink Team of Commissionerate Police nabbed Kamala Tirkey from Jharkhand on Tuesday.
Kamala, the second wife of Swain, is a doctor by profession and worked at Jamnagar in Gujarat, according to reports.
She was arrested for allegedly supporting Ramesh in cheating the women and her involvement in the offences.
While interrogating Ramesh during the fifth remand period, the Commissionerate Police came to know about Kamala’s involvement in the conspiracy.
Earlier, the police arrested the sister of Ramesh Swain for her alleged involvement in his multiple marriages.
Ramesh by introducing himself as a doctor, a senior officer of the Ministry of Health and the Medical Council of India, had married at least 18 women from different states and duped them of lakhs of rupees. He was arrested by the Odisha police on February 14.
