Bhubaneswar: The much awaited match schedule for the FIH Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup 2023 to be played in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela in Odisha is out. On the Opening day of 13th January 223, the Indian hockey team will start its campaign against Spain at the newly constructed Birsa Munda International Hockey Stadium in Rourkela. India is currently ranked at the fifth spot while Spain is at the eight spot. Both the teams are in the Pool D. The other three matches scheduled to be played on the opening day are – Argentina Vs South Africa (Bhubaneswar), Australia Vs France (Bhubaneswar) and England Vs Wales(Rourkela).
In total, 44 matches will be played, with the Final scheduled on 29th January (7pm local time) at the iconic Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.
