New Delhi: With the increase of reverse migration to rural areas, and to provide employment to migrant labourers, the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Sunday announced an additional Rs 40,000 crore to MGNREGA.
The fresh infusion is likely to create additional 300 cross days with a view to provide jobs to the migrant workers those have returned to their villages.
Notably, a sum of Rs 61,000 cross has been allocated for MGNREGA in the Budget 2020-21.
