Bhubaneswar: Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukha has offered condolences on the death of Khallikote Rani and former MLA V. Sugnana Kumari Deo. In his message, the Minister has said “Deeply saddened by the passing away of veteran Biju Janata Dal leader and former MLA Sugnana Kumari Deo. She had a remarkable political journey. Being elected as a legislator for 10 times is a testimony to her popularity. She was well known among the public as a well-spoken politician who had never aspired for any power. She served the people for a lifetime and played an important role in the overall development of the region as an MLA of Khallikote and Kabisurjyanagar for five decades. Her demise has caused a great and irreparable loss to the political arena of Odisha, the Finance Minister said. He also prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
