Bhubaneswar: The first session of 16th Odisha Assembly commenced today at 11 am with the customary address to the House by Governor Ganeshi Lal.
In his address, the Governor congratulated the new government for its fifth consecutive term.
The first session will have 30 working days in two phases — first phase from June 25 to July 2 and the second phase from July 12 to August 8.
The election for Deputy Speaker will be held on June 27.
The Odisha Government will present the budget for 2019-20 financial year on June 28.
