Five Projects of Odisha Students Awarded at ‘National Exhibition and Project Competition’

Bhubaneswar: Five projects made by the students from Odisha have bagged awards at the ‘National Exhibition and Project Competition’ organized by National Innovation Foundation (NIF) under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.

One out of these projects has occupied the third position in the country.

The project ‘Automatic Straw Processing and Packaging Machine for Oyster Mushrooms’ developed by Shreyashan Nayak, a student of Khurda district, secured the third position.

Other four projects are Smart Health Care designed by Krishna Sahu from Bargarh, Development of Roller Brush by Santhi Tong from Mayurbhanj, Soldering Smoke Absorber made by Sumaya Senapati from Jharsuguda district and Safe Sewing Advances of Soumya Ranjan Singh from Kalahandi district.

Theses five projects also found place among the 60 projects of the country.

The students were felicitated in the presence of Dr Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology.

Commissioner-cum- Secretary, Department of School and Mass Education, OSEPA State Project Director congratulated all the awardees, other participating students, the entire Odisha team, teachers, and parents for this special achievement.

As many as 27 students including 13 girls from Odisha participated various projects in the national-level project exhibition and competition held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi.
