FM University Campuses to Be Vehicle-Free from August 15

Bhubaneswar: The Fakir Mohan University (FMU) in Balasore district has taken an initiative to reduce population on its campuses.

The University has decided to make its campuses vehicle-free from August 15.
The initiative will be implemented both on the FMU’s main campus in Balasore and new campus at Nuapadhi under Remuna block.

Vehicles of visitors, staff and the students will be parked at a designated space outside the campus. To facilitate transportation within the campuses, the university plans to introduce battery-operated vehicles and cycles. Additionally, wheelchairs will be available at the entry gates for those who may require them, according to Santosh Kumar Tripathy, Vice-Chancellor of FMU.
