Bhubaneswar: With the number of infections rising in the Capital, the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has declared four more places as micro-containment zones. On Thursday, the BMC authorities declared one place each from Nayapalli and Bhimpur as Containment zones as a number of Covid-19 infections were detected there. Also, two places in Srikhetra Vihar have been declared micro containment areas. For safety concerns, no outside public will not be allowed to move into the containment zones and the inhabitants from within the restricted areas have will also not be allowed to go out.
This comes a day after the civic authority declared 10 areas in the capital as micro containment zones yesterday due to detection of a number of positive case. While Khordha leads the tally in daily infection numbers as a district, the number of cases under the jurisdiction of BMC is remaining a concern for the authorities. Bhubaneswar on Wednesday reported 341 positive cases.
