New Delhi: Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi on Monday administered oath of office and secrecy to four new Supreme Court judges – Justices Krishna Murari, S Ravindra Bhat, V Ramasubramanian and Hrishikesh Roy.
The Centre had approved the names of the four high court chief justices last week, who were recommended by the apex court Collegium on 30th of last month for elevation as apex court judges
With these appointments, the number of judges in the Supreme Court is now 34.
Justice Murari headed the Punjab High Court whereas Justice Bhat headed the Rajasthan High Court.
Justice Ramasubramanian headed the Himachal Pradesh while Justice Roy headed the Kerala High Court.
