Chatrapur: As many as 2753 beneficiaries have received the Gramkantha Housing Pattas (record of rights) in Purusottampur Tahasil in Ganjam district.
The beneficiaries from 11 revenue circles under the Purusottampur Tahasil, who have been living on government land for generations, have received the pattas at a special programme held in the premises of Tahasildar office, informed Purusottampur Tahasildar Santosh Kumar Sahu.
The programme was graced by Aska MP Pramila Bisoyi, Kabisuryanagar MLA Latika Pradhan and Khalikote MLA Suryamani Baidya,. Purusottampur Panchyat Samiti Chairperson, Purusottampur NAC Chairperson and other PRI members were present on the occasion.
The beneficiaries have expressed their deep gratitude to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for giving them record of rights on their Gramkantha Paramboke lands.
Notably, the Chief Minister had inaugurated distribution of Gramkantha Housing Pattas to over 20,000 people in Chatrapur, Hinjili and Kabisuryanagar during his Ganjam visit last month.
