Bhubaneswar: Ganjam has been adjudged as the ‘Best Performing District’ in Law & Order by the India Today Group at a special here on Friday.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange, Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai and Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra received the award in presence of Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at India Today State of the State Conclave Odisha.
The State of States (SoS) awards given annually to the best performing state in India under various categories is now regarded as the gold standard for analysing the performance of States.
As a logical next step, India Today designed the State of the State (SOTS) Conclave and Report. The idea is to focus on a particular state and do an in-depth assessment of district-wise performance based on several key indicators of both human development (HDI) and sector-wise growth including agriculture, industry and services. The best performing districts are awarded at the special function.
