Ganjam Admin Plans to Conduct Health Screening of Recovered COVID-19 Patients

Berhampur: In a bid to further strengthen its fight against COVID-19, the Ganjam district administration has decided to conduct health screening of the persons, who have recovered from the coronavirus in order to know the status of re-infection among the cured persons.

“Looking into the coviD-19 pandemic situation in Ganjam, the district administration has taken many steps to contain the infection, for which the infection rate is decreasing day by day. Further, to know the status of re-inflection among the COVID-19 positive cases, it is decided to conduct screening of all cured cases across the district by RRT”, the district admin said in a statement.

The details plan of screening is as follows

1. A meeting must be conducted by the Commissioner/BDO for timely completion of Screening campaign and other logistics arrangement.

2. The screening campaign period is fixed from 20h August ta 26th August 2020.

3. This team will visit each household of COVID-19 discharged cases of their assigned area and conduct health screening .

4. In case of requirement, the concern Superintendent will utilize AMO & HMO deputed from other district for this purpose and issue order at their level.

5. If the RRT observed, the person might have symptoms of COVID -19, the team will repor1 to the Block Superintendent and BDO concern on the same day as per prescribed format .

6. If any serious symptoms notice, the patient should be referred to COVID Hospital immediately by the RRT with intimation to the concern BDO, Superintendent and Commissioner.

7. The Symptomatic cases have completed 3 months from the date of discharge is to be referred for covID-19 test and the outcome is to be reported immediately to the concern BDO &Superintendent concern.

8. During screening the RRT will check Oxygen level, Pulse, Temperature and identity other symptoms as per the clinical examination.

9. The BDO and Commissioner will appoint supervisors to monitor the screening campaign.

10.The Commissioner/BDO in tum should send the consolidated report in excel format ta the District Covid Cell functioning at DRDA, Chatrapur.

11.The team consists of ANM, ASHA (wherever available), AWW & AYUSH MO other Staff as decided by Commissioner. BDOs & EOs will conduct screening, accordingly concern BDO & Commissioner will issue the order.

12.The screening team must adopt Infection Prevention Controls (IPC) measures during screening. All other protocol giver in previous SOP of screening campaign is to be followed.
