Berhampur: Extending helping hands to cyclone Yaas-hit Balasore, the Ganjam district administration today sent relief materials to the coastal district.
As many as 10 trucks carrying relief materials left for Balasore from Ganjam.
The relief materials have been provided by Ganjam DRDA.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange has flagged off the vehicles in the presence of PD DRDA Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb, Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) Commissioner Dr. Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar and other.
Meanwhile , Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced seven days relief for all families of 128 marooned villages of the cyclone Yaas affected districts.
Reviewing the post cyclone situation in the State, the Chief Minister said that major roads will be restored for communication in next 24 hours.
He also urged 80% restoration of electricity supply in the affected districts n next 24 hours .
