Berhampur: Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange today dismissed rumours about COVID-19 lockdown and appealed people to be alert and follow social distancing norms.
“There are some rumours about lockdown in Ganjam, which are baseless. But we have to be alert and have to follow social distancing norms to avoid any COVID infection”, the Collector tweeted.
“If any symptoms, then immediately inform nearest health centre. Will test accordingly. No need to panic but be aware”, he further said.

“Today we have ZERO ACTIVE COVID cases. Obviously credit goes to Guidance & support from CMO, hard work by Team Ganjam, our doctors, all COVID warriors. Now we have to be more responsible and alert to avoid new infections”, he said in another tweet.
Earlier on Saturday, the Ganjam administration issued standard operating procedures (SOP) to ensure strict implementation of Covid appropriate behaviour to prevent resurgence of the disease.
