Berhampur: The Odisha Government’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Hinjilicut in Ganjam district has joined hands with IG Drones, a company engaged in providing enterprise drone solutions and pilot training, to set up a ‘Drone Centre of Excellency’ at its campus.
According to FICCI, millions of jobs related to drone technology are going to be created in next 4-5 years.
In view of future employment and upskilling of the Skilled In Odisha trainees, the Government ITI, Hinjilicut has signed an MoU with IG Drones to set up a ‘Drone Centre of Excellency’s at the ITI with equipment for training, the Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) said.
The MoU was signed at a virtual event on January 19.
This collaboration is based on a collective commitment to go beyond common boundaries to build bridges between diverse sectors and job opportunities for young trainees, stated the ITI Hinjilicut.
The collaboration will address shared concerns and in the field of infrastructure, power, railway, road, mines, water resources, smart city planning etc, it added.
