Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance on Friday apprehended a junior engineer in Ganjam district for allegedly taking bribe from a person.
Sudhansu Sekhar Mallick Junior Engineer, Beguniapada Block, was caught by Vigilance sleuths
while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 7,000 from a beneficiary under “Mo Guhal Scheme for facilitating release of material cost towards construction of a cattle Shed in favor of him.
The bribe money has been recovered from Mallick and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of the JE.
