Berhampur: Ganjam district has reported less than 100 COVID-19 positive cases in a day after more than two months, an indication of quite visible improvement in the corona pandemic situation in the district, which was once regarded as the COVID hotspot in Odisha.
As per the data shared by the Information and Public Relations Department on Friday, Ganjam has registered 97 cases of COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours, a relatively low daily caseload the district had recorded on July 1.
Below is the day-wise data of positive cases in Ganjam district:
Because of strict enforcement of social distancing norms, multiple intensive D2D health screening, strict containment policy, active involvement of community with Covid monitor and care committees, wide testing and proper treatment, the positive numbers came down below 100, said Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
The COVID-19 situation in Ganjam district has shown tremendous improvement following the personal intervention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who had redefined the COVID-19 management strategies for Ganjam.
