Berhampur: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday nabbed Pramod Kumar Behera, Revenue Inspector (RI) of J.N Prasad Circle of Jaganath Prasad Tahasil, Ganjam district along with a private person named Bidyadhar Pradhan on bribery charges.
The RI and private person were apprehended while accepting bribe of Rs. Rs.5000 from a complainant for demarcation of a plot recorded in the name of his grandfather.
The entire bribe money has been recovered and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of the RI from DA angle.
In this connection, Berhampur Vigilance PS case No. 5/2024 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Behera and Pradhan.
