Ganjam: Six Persons Arrested for Clash at Bar Near Gopalpur Junction

Gopalpur: Six persons including four anti-socials were arrested by Gopalpur police for allegedly clash at a bar near Gopalpur Junction.

The arrested anti-socials have been identified as Tune Sethi (34) of Badagumula village under Goplapur PS, Gayadhar Gouda (20) of Palligumula village under Gopalpur PS, Bhimsen Patra (40) of Palligumula village under Gopalpur PS, and Sanjay Patra (32) of Khadasingh near Petrol Pump under B.N.Pur PS.

The Gopalpur police also arrested two bar workers identified as Dhirendra Sethi (25) and Suraj Dalai (24). Both are from Khadasingh area in Berhampur.

As per police, on July 25 at around 10.45 PM, Tuna Sethi along with his associates went to Brothers Bar situated at Gopalpur Junction and consumed alcohol there . When the bar sales man Dhirendra asked for the money but instead of paying the money Tuna Sethi and his associates demanded “DADA BATI” from the owner.

Tuna Sethi and his associates allegedly abused and assaulted Dhirendra. When one of the sales man Suraj Dalai was trying to save him, all the accused persons also assaulted him. Suraj Dalai sustained multiple injuries.

When Tuna Sethi and his associates assaulted the bar employees, they also in return abused them in obscene languages, assaulted them and threatened them with dire consequences.

The Gopalpur police arrested all six persons in two separate cases and forwarded them to court on Wednesday.
