Ganjam Wins Six National Panchayat Awards

Berhampur: Bringing laurels to the State, Ganjam district has bagged as many as six national Panchayat awards 2022, announced by the Central Government, in different categories.

Two blocks – Hinjilicut and Sheragada and four gram panchayats – Saru, Keluapalli, Kainchapur and Mahupadar have received the prestigious awards for their good performance.

This has been informed by Shinde Dattatraya Bhausaheb, Project Director, DRDA, Ganjam.

Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar (DDUPSP) awards have been conferred to Hinjilicut and Sheragada blocks, Saru and Keluapalli GPs.

The DDUPSP award is given to best performing blocks and panchayats in recognition of the good work at each level for improving delivery of services and public goods.

The Child-friendly Gram Panchayat Award (CFGPA) has been given to Kainchapur GP for adopting child-friendly practices.

Mahupadar GP has bagged the Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar 2021 (NDRGGSP) for its outstanding contribution to the socio-economic development in the area.

Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange has expressed his happiness and congratulated to the concerned teams of blocks and GPs for the awards.
