Ganjam: Young IAS Takes 5T to Ground Zero in Remote Tribal Village

Berhampur: Inspired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s 5T mantra of governance, Berhampur Sub-Collector cum SDM Shinde Dattatreya Bhausaheb , a young IAS officer, visited a remote tribal village in Ganjam district to take the government’s welfare scheme to ground zero and inquire about whether the people in this remote village are getting benefit of various schemes.

The SDM made a visit to Tumba, a tribal-dominated remote village in Patrapur block to have one to one talk with people and take direct feedback from them about the pace of implementation of developmental programmes and various schemes of the government.

Bhausaheb held meeting with the villagers to discuss about their problems and assured that immediate steps would be taken to resolve the issues.

The official also talked to the people who were affected by cyclone Titli and inquired their living condition.

The soft spoken officer also explored the tourism potential of the place.
With the adoption of 5T principles of governance and appointment of dynamic IAS officer VK Pandian as 5T Secretary, visible changes have already started to reflect in the approaches and attitudes of officials in dealing with the people and their issues.

While Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange himself leads from the front exploring innovative approaches to bring desirable changes in the administration through 5 T, district project director Siddharth Shankar Swain trekked difficult terrain for nearly four hours resolve peoples’ problems.
