Bengaluru: In a significant development in the Karnataka political crisis, Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar said that the floor test on the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in the Assembly is going to conclude today.
Meanwhile, Karnataka BJP leader BS Yeddyurappa held a meeting with senior party leaders in the state at his quarters in the Vidhana Soudha ahead of the trust vote on today.
Karnataka Speaker Ramesh Kumar has summoned the rebel MLAs, who are currently lodged in a Mumbai hotel, to meet him at his office at 11 am on Tuesday. The notice has been issued over disqualification petition by coalition leaders.
Karnataka Speaker KR Ramesh Kumar, confirming that the floor test on the coalition government will be concluded by 6 pm on Monday, said that he was in “no hurry” to accept the resignations of the rebel MLAs.
