HDFC Bank Conducts 14th Annual Blood Donation Drive in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: As part of its social responsibility drive, HDFC Bank has taken up the noble cause of conducting blood donation drives across the state. Till date, the special drives have collected 24375 Units of Blood from over 300 Camps held throughout the State. HDFC BANK has been conducting blood donation campaign since 2007 and has been witnessing more and more enthusiasm, awareness and increased support from all stakeholders for this initiative. These Blood Donation camps are a part of pan India initiative of the Bank. As part of this, HDFC Bank has tied up with Local Blood Banks, Colleges and Universities for this noble cause.

Over the years, HDFC Bank has made a difference to the society by not only saving lives but also creating awareness about Blood Donation activity. For this special activity, the Bank has been appreciated by the State Government for continuous three years from 2016-2018. Also, the Bank has created a record and found place in the Guiness Book of World Record for conducting the largest blood donation (Multiple venue ) campaign in a single day by any organisation.

This year, more than 300 camps have been conducted across the state of Odisha. the 14th Annual Blood Donation drive in Odisha was conducted on Friday at Bank House, Infocity, Bhubaneswar. The program was graced by Additional Chief Secretary Shri Satyabrata Sahu. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Sahu motivated all donors and congratulated all Volunteers for stepping ahead for this noble cause. And also shared his thoughts on encouraging young donors to come forward and create more awareness in society. This drive will help in meeting the requirement of blood across districts during crucial times. Many eminent personalities and Senior Bureaucrats joined the HDFC Bank Blood Donation camps across the State to encourage and support this noble cause. The Bank will be conducting more such camps till 15th December 22 in the State.

Zonal Head of HDFC Bank, Deepak Kumar Singh and Operations Head Rishi Ganguly were present with all officials of HDFC Bank to facilitate smooth collections across the camps.
