Bhubaneswar: The heat wave condition prevailing in various districts of Odisha is likely to continue for another 24 hours. Due to prevailing Northwesterly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation, the temperature in various places remained above normal in many places. Capital city Bhubaneswar yesterday recorded more than 43 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, the Day Temperature is likely to be more than 40°C at many places over the districts of Odisha and likely to be above normal by 3 to 5°C over some districts of Odisha. People have been advised to take precautionary measure while going outside during day time between 1100 IST-1500 IST.
The Met Department has also issued heat wave warning for 14 districts of Odisha including Khurda, Cuttack, Keonjhar, Boudh, Malkangiri, Nayagarh, Angul, Bolangir, Kandhamal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Mayurbhanj, Jharsuguda.
