Heat Wave Conditions To Continue For Another Three Days In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The heat wave conditions prevailing in Odisha are likely to continue in the next three days as temperatures will remain five to seven degrees more than normal in some districts. In its special bulletin, the MET Department has issued severe heat wave alert for Friday – “Heat wave to severe Heat wave conditions very likely to prevail at one or two places over the districts of Jharsuguda, Sundergarh, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Bolangir, Sonepur, Nuapada, Kandhamal, Cuttack, Khordha, Kalahandi, Angul, Deogarh and Boudh.”

Yesterday, three cities – Jharsuguda, Hirakud and Sundargarh recorded temperatures of more than 44 degrees and in total 25 cities recorded temperature of more than 40 degrees. Capital city Bhubaneswar recorded 42.4 degrees Celsius.
