Bhubaneswar: The heatwave conditions continue to prevail across Odisha on Thursday with mercury crossing over 43 degrees Celsius in the state capital.
As per the regional centre of the IMD, Bhubaneswar has recorded the maximum day temperature of 43.6 degrees Celsius.
Several places in the State also witnessed above 40 degrees Celsius on Thursday – Jharsuguda: 42.6°, Balasore 42.2°C, Sambalpur: 41.7°C, Hirakud 41.4°C, Chandabali: 41.2°C, Keonjhar: 40.9°C and Rourkela: 40.2°C.
The Met Office has predicted that the day temperature is likely to decrease by 2-3 degrees Celsius during the next three days in the State.
