Bhubaneswar: Heatwave to severe heatwave conditions are likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha during the next four to five days.
In a special bulletin, the IMD’s Met Centre Bhubaneswar stated that due to prevailing mainly Northwesterly/Westerly dry air and high solar insolation, maximum day temperature is likely to be above by 3 to 6°C over some districts of the state during next four to five days.
The maximum day temperature in Balasore soared to hit 46 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. It is the all-time record for highest day temperature in April. Earlier, on April 20, 2010, the temperature was recorded at 45 degrees Celsius.
