Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and BJD President Naveen Patnaik on Friday campaigned vigorously for his party candidates in Balasore Lok Sabha constituency.
Addressing a massive public meeting, the BJD supremo has once again slammed the opposition for spreading lies and false propaganda.
“What has the BJP MP done for the people of Balasore”, asked Naveen?
In Balasore, the BJP leaders are telling lies and shedding crocodile tears, the BJD President said.
Naveen also sought the feedback of the people on various welfare schemes of his government, such as BSKY, Mission Shakti, Mamata, LAccMI Bus, Kalia, 5T School Transformation, Students’ Scholarship, Madhubabu Pension Scheme, Ration Card, Srimandir transformation works. The crowd responded very positively in an enthusiastic voice, saying unanimously ‘very well’.
The Chief Minister reiterated that the electricity bill will not come from July. The BJD government will give free electricity. Are you happy, he asked? The meeting venue resonated with the sound of ‘yes’ amid joyous cheers of the people. The CM also asked, Is Naveen Patnaik good? The people got very emotional at the question and responded affirmatively.
Addressing the people, BJD star campaigner Kartik Pandian said that the Chief Minister is going to build a new Odisha with your blessings and support. Balasore will have a great contribution in the formation of the new Odisha, the senior BJD leader said.
As per the election manifesto of the BJD, an industrial cluster will be made in Balasore-Baripada. Many big industries will come to Balasore. The employment will be created and income will increase, Pandian said.
“Who built Fakir Mohan Medical College in Balasore? Who has developed various temples, mathas and mosques? who has developed Chandipur and Udaipur beaches”, the BJD leader asked? One answer to all questions came from the crowd – Naveen Patnaik.
Balasore BJD MP candidate Lekhasri Samantsinghar said that many political parties promise to reserve 33 percent seats for women in politics, but the only Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and Biju Janata Dal made it work.
“In Balasore, the Chief Minister has given opportunities to women in not 33 per cent but 50 per cent of seats. I am forever indebted to the Chief Minister”, she said.
