Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government’s ambitious ‘High School Transformation’ programme commenced from Hinjili Assembly constituency in Ganjam district with the inauguration of 10 smart schools by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the High School Transformation programme is a classic example of 5T initiative.
Explaining the 5T initiative, the CM said that Technology, Teamwork, Time, Transparency and Transformation – made it (school transformation) possible. While Technology provided us smart class room, e-library, computer and modern lab, the Teamwork is a combined effort of all. From PRI members to school management committee, teachers, students, aluminous, parents, local people have all worked together for the transformation, the CM added.
Addressing the students, the CM said, “This transformation is for you. It will create many opportunities for you and help you in building your future”.
The MLAs, Sarpanches, PRI members, students, aluminous, parents and community members attended the inauguration ceremony.
Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange and other district administration officials were present on the occasion.
The programme was coordinated by 5T Secretary VK Pandian.
The High School Transformation programme, a dream project of the Chief Minister, gives a complete facelift to the state-run high schools with the state-of-the-art facilities, like such as e-library, smart classrooms, computer rooms, science laboratories, sports facilities, reading rooms, laboratory, drinking water facilities, hygienic toilets and above all a conducive study environment.
The Chief Minister will inaugurate 40 more transformed schools in Hinjli and Sheragada blocks phase-wise.
