Cuttack: Home isolation monitoring is a very important pillar in the Cuttack city’s fight against the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic, said Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Commissioner Ananya Das.
“Since 90% of our patients are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic, home isolation monitoring is a very important pillar in our fight against Covid”, she said while lauding the commitment and dedication of doctors and medical staffs in helping the home isolation patients for a quick recovery.
The CMC has allowed the asymptotic COVID-19 patients to undergo treatment at their homes with the guidance of medical experts.
The doctors belonging to different UPHCs and UCHGs are extending timely and efficient advice to the corona positive patients in home isolation through tele or video conferencing platforms, she said.
Focus is on guiding the recovery of patients through exclusive consultation by health officials, she added.
The civic body has issued emergency helpline numbers in the city exclusively for people who are in home isolation and are in need of immediate medical consultation and support.
Meanwhile, the CMC Commissioner has urged the patients in home isolation to follow all the guidelines sincerely and keep updated the medical teams about their health condition on daily basis over telephone.
