Malkangiri: In a major boost to Biju Janata Dal’s endeavor to connect with the grassroots people in Malkangiri district ahead of the Panchayat polls, hundreds of workers and leaders belonging to opposition parties have joined the rulling party.
The Maha Mishran program held at Poteru in Kalimela Block of Malkangiri district saw people from various walks joined the Biju Janata Dal inspired by its leader and party president Naveen Patnaik. A large number of grassroots leaders from both the Congress and BJP have joined the party in presence of senior party leaders including Organizational Secretary Pranab Prakash Das, Minister Tusharkanti Behera, Nabarangpur MP Ramesh Chandra Majhi and former MP Pradeep Majhi. Chitrakonda MLA Purnachandra Baka and former MLA Mukunda Sodi were also present during the joining program.
