Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday hoisted the national flag at the state-level Independence Day celebrations at Mahatma Gandhi Marg in Bhubaneswar.
Addressing the people of the state on the occasion, the Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to build a developed Odisha (Viksit Odisha).
The CM said, “We will very soon become the third-largest economy. The entire globe now looks at India as ‘Vishwa Guru’. Our state Odisha is also on the path of progress that was once divided during British rule”.
“We will write new history with ‘Odia Asmita’ and ‘Swabhiman’ and touch the peak of development,” the CM said.
The Chief Minister paid tributes to the heroes and freedom fighters of Odisha.
