Keonjhar: In a bizarre incident happened near Judiaghat in Keonjhar district, some cattle smugglers fired at the police team that had tried to intercept them. The Special Task Force team of Odisha Police’s Crime Branch had swung into action after getting information regarding transport of cattle in four containers. The police team was fired upon by the accused escorting the containers.
The STF also retaliated with firing. The police could manage to apprehend two drivers while the others escaped from the spot. A manhunt has been launched to trace the remaining accused. More than 15 cattle being transported in the two vehicles have been released in a goshala in Keonjhar.
