Income Tax Raids Continue For the Fourth Day Linked To Businessman Ghanshyam Dalmia; Cash Worth Five Crore and Four kgs Gold Jewelry Seized

Rourkela: The Income Tax Department officials continued their searches at various places in Odisha and outside on the fourth day today linked to businessman Ghanashyam Dalmia. According to sources, simultaneous raids are continuing at 10 places in Odisha. Cash worth Rs 5 crore and more than 4 kgs of gold ornaments were seized during the searches. Also, several important documents have also been seized during the raids.

Yesterday, the IT Department had detected around Rs 5 crore in cash from Ghanshyam, his brother Yogesh and associate Nand Kishore Agarwal. The Income Tax officials are interrogating Ghanshyam’s son Abhishek at an undisclosed location in Rourkela. Rs 50 lakh was seized from one of Ghanshyam’s offices at Bileimunda. According to reports, Rs 2 crore was seized from his elder brother Yogesh’s civil township residence in Rourkela. Gold ornaments weighing 2 kg have also been seized.
