International Day of Persons With Disabilities: Naveen Salutes Unshakeable Spirit of Differently Abled

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has saluted to the unshakeable spirit of all the differently abled on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities today.

The Chief Minister has also reaffirmed his commitment to continue inclusive initiatives to remove all barriers and inequalities so that the differently abled realise their true potential.

“On International Day of Persons With Disabilities, salute to the unshakeable spirit of all the differently abled. On Disability Day, pledge to continue our inclusive initiatives to remove all barriers & inequalities so that they realise their true potential”, the CM tweeted.


The annual observance of the International Day of Disabled Persons was proclaimed in 1992 by United Nations General Assembly resolution 47/3. It aims to promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in all spheres of society and development, and to increase awareness of the situation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
